EDDL 5141 Learning Activity 6 – Online Teaching and Learning Context

I would like to design an online assignment for teaching my grade 9 students about circuits in our electricity unit.  I have found a great online circuit builder that I use all the time when I’m teaching the connections between current, voltage and resistance. Setting up circuits with wires, switches, bulbs and batteries is great for many students, however some students find it confusing and frustrating.  For these students the online circuit builder is much easier and enjoyable for them to use.  They are much less frustrated and seem to better understand the concepts covered without the confusing array of wire, bulbs and batteries and switches that may or may not be working at any particular time.  I have found a lesson on Gizmos that covers a portion of one of our topics but I would like to make my own lesson and cover the topics I want the students to learn.
